Denise Harris - 2013 Recipient of the  Jean Hibbert Memorial Award

Picture
President James Geneau presents the 2013 Jean Hibbert Memorial Award to Denise Harris at the EHS AGM on Ocotber 3, 2013.
At the October 3rd Annual General Meeting, EHS presented Denise Harris with the 2013 Jean Hibbert Memorial Award for her exceptional contribution to historical awareness and preservation in the former City of Etobicoke. A past President of EHS, current Historical Officer and Board member, Denise has demonstrated on countless occasions the virtues and values the Hibbert Award represents.

From her work as a lobbyist and community evangelist in preserving our local heritage buildings to her ongoing dedication to developing and presenting tours, programs, and educational lectures focused on our rich local heritage, Denise has enriched the lives of many people with her passion for Etobicoke history. She is a source of knowledge and inspiration to the many Etobians who are passionate about history and preservation. She has earned a degree of respect from the community this award could never fully acknowledge.

Congratulations Denise!
