Awards & Honours

For years, the Etobicoke Historical Society has been the presenter of numerous awards of merit and achievement to the people, organizations, and movements whose activities have made a profound impact on the preservation and education of Etobicoke's rich history.  The following awards are a sample of the work to date, as well as the recipients.

The Jean Hibbert Memorial Award

The EHS Jean Hibbert Memorial Award recognizes outstanding contributions to historical awareness and heritage preservation.

The EHS Denise Harris Prize  recognizes individuals contributing articles to The Aldernews and to stimulate interest in writing for it.
