Jean Hibbert Memorial Award The Winner of the Jean Hibbert Memorial  Award for 2006 is Molly Sutherland Molly Sutherland first came to Canada when she was 14 years of age and moved to Central Etobicoke when she was 18. Molly spent many years working for the Township of Etobicoke, the Borough of Etobicoke, the City of Etobicoke and then the City of Toronto. Anyone who wanted to know anything about Etobicoke's history came to Molly with their questions. A tremendous resource, Molly is always ready to share her knowledge of Etobicoke and has helped many authors such as Judy Shiels, Diana Sythes and our own Bob Given. Molly volunteers at Applewood "The Shaver Homestead" and produces their newsletter "The Applewood Almanac". "Because of her 23 years involvement with the Historical Board/LACAC, Molly was the only staff member really dedicated to the history of Etobicoke." Molly is Secretary to the Heritage Etobicoke Foundation and represents the Foundation at the Toronto Historical Association. Molly became Volunteer Secretary to the newly formed Montgomery's Inn Management Board when the new City of Toronto was formed. Molly works very hard to keep all these Executives in line. Always modest, Molly Sutherland is a great resource for Etobicoke, even though it is now part of the City of Toronto.
